Too Sweet & Not Sour Enough; Like a Cherry Cough Drop!Nov 12, 2009
These Haribo sour cherries are vibrantly colored and look like a red cherry on a green stem with a green leaf attached. Each piece is over an inch long. They are very cute!
Unfortunately, they are sugary sweet and not sour to me at all. They taste just like those cherry flavored cough drops that come in the red and white box and have no medicinal purposes whatsoever!
If you like the flavor of artificial cherries, these are good. They smell good too. If you are looking for candies for a kids birthday party, these will definitely be a hit! If you need a sugary pick-me-up, grab a few and you're set. But if you really want something more sour, try another kind of Haribo candy.
Added thought: these would be beautiful cake decorations!

I have loved this candy since 1980 whe I bought my first bag in Germany and am so happy that I can get it in bulk from Amazon there are many gummy products out there but Haribo Gummi candy is the standard that no one else can meet.

I was very dissapointed with these so called "Sour Cherry Gummies", as an avid haribo Gummy Fan, I was expecting at least some type of sour taste, instead just overly sweet and sugar coated, not even much Cherry flavor just very very sweet and overwhelming sugar flavor.
If u want some gummies that r sour and tangy, try Fizzy Cola bottles!!
They still have sugar coating but a very good, not 2 sweet tangy and tart flavor!! Enjoy....

Not sour as some of the other reviewers have stated. I for one could not really taste any sour bits, but it's a fine gummi candy on it's own. Sugar coated, etc. Just wish it was sour, or at least Hairbo made a 'proper' sour gummi candy.
